Walk With Me - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Walk With Me
Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, " Where are you?" (Genesis 3:8-10, NASU)

During a weekend leadership gathering of staff and leaders of volunteer groups, held in the first week of November 2018, a particular time of worship was especially “sweet”, as we used to say in the 70’s. With an acoustic guitar, acoustic bass and a conga drum, the 51 participants sang their hearts out (not literally of course) as the music flowed. It was one of those times of worship when you just want to sit and soak in His presence. Ever experience that? I surely hope so.

I have come to know when the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) moves upon me to prophesy. Even after 40 or more years of sharing prophetic word and songs, I still get that feeling in my chest and stomach, prompting me to step out in faith and start speaking, or singing. Usually, I only get a word. Sometimes just a picture in my mind that I interpret at least part of its meaning.

On this particular moment, I apprehended His presence, nudging me on, wanting me to step out in faith and sing a prophetic “song of the Lord” as I like to call it. When I did, He spoke very tenderly and lovingly. Personally, I thought it was very special, as He shared His immense heart with the group.

These are the words that I can remember from that day of the song.

“Come walk with Me in My garden. Come, walk with Me in My garden. My heart is for you to know Me in a deeper way, to experience My presence of peace, love and compassion that I have for you and those you touch. Come, walk with Me in My garden. Walk with Me.” (I repeated it once or twice.)

Very simple. Very sweet. But very profound, with words sung from the Father that truly touched a spot in the hearts of those gathered.

After the song, the room became silent, as each one treasured the moment He was having with us. I could sense a deep appreciation around me. A few came to me later and shared how the song had impacted them personally.

Our God, the only true Living One of Israel and the nations, draws us to Himself in many ways. He longs to fellowship with us, even as one passionately wants to be close to their loved one, to speak personally to our spirit and soul. He waits for those moments when we give ourselves to be with Him, in the quiet times we set aside each day. He wants us to walk in His garden, with Him.

Adam walked with God the Father daily after his being created on the sixth day. I “can only imagine” what that had felt like, and yet I believe we ourselves can have the same experience today. When the Father went looking for him after sin had been committed, Adam, along with his soulmate wife Eve, had already hid. Ashamed. Afraid. Knowing that the communication with the Lord had been broken due to their disobedient action.

Restoration of fellowship with the Father only then came possible after His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, chose to sacrifice Himself on the cross, to cleanse and redeem us from sin. We had been separated from Him, beginning in that garden. Now that broken relationship that had separated us from the heavenly family has been restored. After receiving His forgiveness and mercy, each of us can fellowship once again with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Now is the time to give the Father the opportunity to walk closely together again. He looks forward to those “coffee times” when we give Him time in the morning, noon or evening that is His time with us, to have quiet fellowship together.

I encourage you to walk in His garden. That would truly touch His heart, and I know He will certainly touch yours.

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

Restoration of Relationships (Part II) - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Restoration of Relationships (Part II)
Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body — whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free — and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.

15 If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? 16 And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? 18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. 19 And if they were all one member, where would the body be?

20 But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you"; nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you." 22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. 23 And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, 24 but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, 25 that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. 26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. 28 And God… (I Corinthians 12:12-28, NKJV)

When I wrote the first Now Think On This - Restoration of Relationships message last week on the Lord wanting to restore relationships, I thought it was a one-time deal. But this morning in my time with Him (Nov. 5, 2018, at 4:45 am) He, the Holy Spirit, Ruach HaKodesh, said there was a Part II to be written.

So, as it is my desire to hear and obey the Lord, Who knows all, this is Part II. (You can read Part I here: Restoration of Relationships Part I.

Briefly, in Restoration of Relationships Part I, I made a comparison that as the Lord God of Israel was returning His chosen ones back to the Promised Land (Eretz Yisrael – the land of Israel), so He simultaneously was also drawing His church Body back together. As with Israel in the natural, so with the Church in the spiritual. Within His Body on earth, He is bringing both believing Jew and Gentile back together as one, His One New Man, even as it was in the first century.

Joshua Aaron's "Bring Us Back"
As I allowed the Holy Spirit to reveal even more of what He wanted to share now, I strongly felt in my spirit that He wants the fallen, those who quit the race, the down and out, former members of churches, to be brought back. I could hear Joshua Aaron singing “Bring Us Back” in my head. Our Lord, Father God, is crying out for the Jews in the world, scattered through the Diaspora in centuries gone by, to make aliyah, to come back to Israel. With the same heart as that, the Lord is wanting the Christians, those who were strong and flourishing members of our churches in days gone by, to come back. He needs them. We need them.

Personally, I can think of many whom I loved and walked within the past, in the several churches Laurie and I have been with.

Guys like Dave and Michelle, so giving of themselves in serving the leaders, and yet getting hurt, and leaving. Where are they now? Come back!

Mike, who could really play that electric guitar on the worship team Laurie and I led. Mike, come back!

And Bob and Bonnie – our “right arm joint”, who sought the Lord together in the Watch of the Lord so many days gone by. If you are not in a fellowship this day, somewhere, come back!

Kelly – I love you man! Restoration is always possible with our Lord Jesus!

I wholeheartedly believe it is the Lord’s immense heart, in these end of days, to bring restoration of relationships, from the years, maybe even decades or so ago, back together again. Restoration of these vital body joints, Body members that once were, are so needed together again. We can complete and fulfill the Lord’s plans and purposes. That is His ever-reaching out heart.

We know that the sadistic enemy does not play fair. He is evil, bankrupt, and continually seeks to “kill, steal and destroy.” But he doesn’t have the final say!

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (I Peter 5:8-11, NKJV)

Maybe you are one who at one time thrived in the church, but someone said something, did something, wrote something that put an arrow in your heart, and you walked away.

We have all experienced hurt, deception, being simply wronged. Yes, it hurt extremely, but we MUST forgive, we must forget, we must get back into that which we once knew. Our lives certainly depend on it. Our families depend on it. Others who have had the same experience as you need new life once again too. Come back!

Love covers a multitude of sins. Love restores. Love gives new vision.
Our God is the God of Love. And thus, so must we become that which He is.

And we will, for Jesus (Yeshua) already prayed it thus so, in John 17. His love, to bring unity to His joined people, will be well known and be brought to completion. He IS going to show the world the truth of His great compassion, mercy, and forgiveness.

“Just as you, Father, are in me and I in you,
So they might be one heart and mind with us.
Then the world might believe that you, in fact, sent me.

The same glory you gave me, I gave them,
So they'll be as unified and together as we are —

I in them and you in me.
Then they'll be mature in this oneness,
And give the godless world evidence
That you've sent me and loved them
In the same way you've loved me.”

(John 17:21-23, THE MESSAGE)

Guess what? I think Jesus’ prayer will be answered with a “Yeah and amen!” It will be another “It is finished!” moment.

This world has gotten dark. Real dark. Not only do we need each other to come back together and stand strong together, to be lights in the world, but those who don’t know the Lord need Him, and His united Body on earth.

It WILL happen! I hope you are a part of it too.

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

I HAVE CALLED YOU FOR THIS TIME. The Dream Still Holds. - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Special Edition:

On Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, 53 men and women, making up the leadership of Antioch International Church in Fort Mill, SC, were gathered for a weekend time of fellowship and teaching. During the Friday morning session, several were given prophetic words to share, for encouragement and destiny.

This is a prophetic word the Lord gave me. which I then spoke out for the group.

I believe it is also meant for many of you, located in the nations.

I HAVE CALLED YOU FOR THIS TIME
-The Dream Still Holds

“Your eye has not seen yet what I see ahead. Your ear has not heard yet what I hear.

I have called each of you to this place. I have called you for this hour.

Many of you know I called you –even when you were 10 and heard Me. Or those of you who were teenagers when I called you to Me.

You have been hurt, rejected, and left laying on the road. But I was there with you, and during the times you were in your closet, crying, in despair, and wanting to quit, I was there with you.

Know that the dreams and that which I placed in your heart long ago have not been forgotten or ended. It is for you now.

You are being joined together to bring My Word, to share My heart, to fulfill the plans and purposes I have for you.

My heart is for you. My heart is for you."

May the good Lord God, Father of All, bring to pass the dream He gave to you even as a child. He is Faithful and True, and will yet complete that desire He placed in your heart, even back then, to share His love, mercy, and grace to the nations.

We give thanks that He is bringing many back, to complete the call He has given to them. We need each person in the Body of Christ, walking out their destiny in Him.

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

Gathering Mighty Men and Women of God Together - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Gathering Mighty Men and Women of God Together
Steve Martin

The first day of November, in our Lord’s year 2018;
Peter and Joy gathered the troops for a Fripp Island stay.
Mighty men and women, loyal and committed souls,
Sought the Lord as one - in talks, in walks, to pray.

For you see, over these past 10 years or so,
He has brought together, to place hand in hand;
These called to fulfill that which each one has; to make
A moving Body, a dedicated team, a soldiers’ band.

From the north, south, east and west.
From the east, and west, north and south we’ve come,
Drawn by Our Father, Holy Spirit, and Righteous Son.
Just as the ones going to Israel moved too,
The Three have brought us together, to walk as one.

Apostles, prophets, teachers - all with pastors’ love;
Evangelists, worship teams and gifted families abound.
The Body of Christ, reflected through this team of AIC,
Pierces the darkness with fierce, glorious sounds.

It is a gathering of mighty men and women of God,
Planned and purposed from eternity’s start;
We’ll show the world the way to forge ahead,
As immense love emits from our Father’s great heart.
